 normal is a very dangerous idea

people and society will allow anything , do anything , if its considered normal

when things shift away from normal , society as a whole will agitate and fight against anything that keeps it away from that normal state.

Change is inevitable.

Its the illusion of normality that keeps things calm.

its wrong to assume if something is normal

that its right.

 each side sees ( can only see ) the others as monsters.

this is on purpose.

what would be the use of a weapon who sees its targets

as friends?

such a weapon would be broken....and would need to 

be either fixed....or abandoned.

becoming a monster to other weapons?

story?

 a grandfather....or perhaps a great grandfather...or uncle.

he sees a child in need....a child trapped by her family...her life planned out for her....no choices....only valued as property.  neighbors?  or relations?

he used to build ships in orbit around a distant star....he came here after it became too much....to this place where the wrecks of ships lay to be salvaged and scavenged.

he is fond of the child....and wishes her to have a better choice in things....he builds a ship for her....to escape this world....if she wishes.

she's smart....she would do well...among the stars...

the ship will be the last he will build....he is fading with age.

yes she will do well out there.
